
2025 SCEWC Gangnam Pavilion

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Jun-young = Gangnam District (Mayor Cho Seong-myeong) announced on the 10th that it participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 (SCEWC 2025), held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 4th to the 6th, where it conducted 225 business meetings and achieved consultation results worth about 4.57 million dollars.
Now in its 14th year, this expo is the world’s largest smart city exhibition, with more than 800 cities and around 1,000 companies from around the globe taking part.
To present its smart city model, the district jointly operated the 'Gangnam Pavilion' with six partner demonstration companies (Applause·Cubic·Removing Company·Monet Korea·Volt Creation·Dexter Crema). Based on their innovative technologies, the companies introduced smart city solutions closely connected to everyday life, drawing significant attention.
Mayor Cho Seong-myeong said, "Through our participation in this expo, Gangnam-gu's technological prowess and capacity for innovation have been recognized internationally," adding, "We will continue to expand administrative services and urban infrastructure that residents can feel in their daily lives so that we can establish ourselves as a future-oriented city that attracts global attention."
