The 3rd ‘Gangnam Embraces Digital’ Open Innovation MOU Signed

Dreams gather in the city of the future—Gangnam-gu (Mayor Cho Sung-myung) held the 3rd public-private partnership open innovation event, “Gangnam Embraces Digital,” on the 12th.

On this day, the district signed MOUs with a total of 12 companies, including eight firms selected for open innovation such as SaveTree Co., Ltd., and four companies participating in the demonstration-type project, including Huject Co., Ltd. These companies plan to pilot digital solutions that can help solve urban issues in Gangnam from the second half of this year.

Meanwhile, in February, the district recruited participants for the 3rd Open Innovation program, evaluated 100 applicant companies, and selected 12 to proceed with demonstration projects.

Mayor Cho Sung-myung stated, “Through this Open Innovation initiative, we will preemptively apply innovative digital technologies and AI know-how to Gangnam’s administration. We will continue to promote demonstration projects in various fields to create a smart city where residents can live safer and happier lives.”
