Hyundai Engineering Supports 17 Promising Startups Leading Future Construction

Participating in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Startup Leap Package Support Project”… Supporting technology development and commercialization

Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) announced on the 10th that it will participate in the “2025 Startup Leap Package Support Project,” organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, to support promising startups leading the future of the construction industry.

The Startup Leap Package Support Project discovers startups that have been established for three to seven years with strong technological capabilities and business potential, and helps them with technology development and commercialization through collaboration with large corporations.

This year, nine major companies, including Hyundai E&C, participated in the initiative and selected a total of 100 startups.

Among them, Hyundai E&C selected 17 companies in four categories—healthcare, smart construction technology, future housing, and eco-friendliness—and plans to support on-site technology development while promoting commercialization in collaboration with departments related to research, products, construction, and safety within Hyundai E&C.

The selected companies include “AIT Story,” which develops a resident biometric information analysis system; “SAIM,” which provides automated safety training solutions; and “APLAYZ,” which develops landscape-specialized sound systems.

Hyundai E&C also held the “Startup Leap Package Open Innovation Meetup” at Nest Hotel in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on the 4th and 5th, to establish a foundation for collaboration by concretizing cooperative projects with startups.

During the event, participating companies engaged in startup commitment pledges, collaboration task enhancement seminars, special lectures by partner institutions, and practical business matching sessions.

A Hyundai E&C official said, “By collaborating with startups that possess outstanding technology and ideas, we will accelerate the development of smart construction technologies based on digital transformation and ESG (environmental, social responsibility, and corporate governance).”
