ZER01NE Hosts ‘2024 ZER01NE Day’ Creative Talent Exhibition

Hyundai Motor Group–sponsored ZER01NE announced on the 16th that it will hold the “2024 ZER01NE DAY” for five days from October 23 to 27 at Peaches Do-won and Space Wadiz in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

ZER01NE is a creative space and talent platform created by Hyundai Motor Group in 2018 on Gangnam-daero in Seocho-gu, Seoul, with the goal of fostering a creative talent ecosystem. ZER01NE DAY is an event where artists, developers, and startups from various fields participate to showcase their projects and business models to the public, who can directly engage and experience them.

The exhibition theme, “ZER01NE Ecosystem,” represents the interactive and collaborative network of creators, startups, and Hyundai Motor Group employees—both internal and external—who are active within ZER01NE. Under this theme, ZER01NE has prepared a variety of project exhibitions related to Mobility, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and Sustainability.

At the 2024 ZER01NE DAY, seven projects prepared by creators and exhibitions from six startups nurtured by ZER01NE will be presented. The creator projects are divided into four themes: Mobility, AI, Robotics, and Sustainability.

In the Mobility section, creator Lee Sung-eun will showcase a device that creates the illusion of seeing and touching one’s own body from a third-person perspective, offering a new mobility experience. “Auspicious Landscape” will present works redefining automobiles and charging stations as new media and experiential spaces, featuring games and advertisement content using cars.

In the Artificial Intelligence (AI) section, “Marco” will exhibit instruments designed as extensions of the human body that amplify bodily sounds using AI algorithms, vibration mechanisms, and actuators. “Fabulous Art Lab” will showcase an interactive project that visualizes public data through generative algorithms, allowing visitors to journey through a “data universe.”

In the Robotics section, “Freak LAB” will present a chicken-shaped robotic blanket equipped with a bio-monitoring system that assists human sleep, while “IVAAIU City” will propose a plan for space infrastructure autonomously constructed by robots and AI without direct human intervention.

Finally, in the Sustainability section, “Studio SKLIM” will expand on previous research by integrating natural materials with modern technology to create sustainable structures combining solar roof systems and passive cooling terracotta systems powered by clean energy.

Meanwhile, six startups nurtured by ZER01NE will also exhibit their works during the 2024 ZER01NE DAY: “Deep Insight” (AI-based 3D sensing solutions), “MORAI” (autonomous driving simulation platform), “May-I” (AI-based offline visitor analytics), “Glurree” (carbon-neutral step-based reward mobile app), “MADE” (3D printing of silicon carbide parts), and “Aplayz,” which offers spatial data–driven automatic music curation services.

This year’s event will also feature presentations by startups selected for the “Deep Tech Value-Up Program,” jointly hosted by Hyundai Motor Group and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. In addition, Hyundai CRADLE—the group’s global open innovation hub—will share the latest trends and insights on AI, robotics, and mobility.

Hyundai Motor Group currently operates innovation hubs called “CRADLE” in five countries—the United States, Germany, Israel, China, and Singapore—to discover promising startups worldwide.

Anyone interested can attend the 2024 ZER01NE DAY free of charge. During the exhibition, docent programs will be available for on-site registration to provide visitors with detailed explanations of the projects on display.
