SH Corporation Supports Social Ventures for Residential Innovation and Growth

Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) and startup education specialist Underdogs held a performance sharing session for 'The Movement Project' on the 19th at Insa Lounge in Anguk.

'The Movement Project' is a social contribution activity by SH Corporation that nurtures and supports entrepreneurs who provide environmental improvement, welfare, platform utilization solutions, and content related to residential, office, and commercial spaces.

SH Corporation has been continuing its social venture support program for the third year to contribute to innovative growth and new job creation, and to contribute to creative solutions to social problems.

In particular, this year, they prepared various programs to help selected startup teams stand out in the field by specifying 'housing-related innovation sectors' linked to the corporation's business.

During the first round of document submissions in July, over 10 times the recruitment capacity of companies applied, and during the second round of in-person screening, 15 companies—three times the capacity—were reviewed, ultimately selecting 5 social ventures.

The five companies participating in this program went through a systematic startup incubation process for 10 weeks starting in August, including △defining existing problems △specifying business items △analyzing competitors and markets △customized business coaching △improving and presenting business plans.

At this event, after each company's performance presentation over the 10-week period, two outstanding companies were selected through on-site evaluations by expert judges and incubation process reviews. The corporation awarded a total of 8 million won in prize money to Robotom, selected for the grand prize, and Aplayz, selected for the excellence award.

President Kim Heon-dong stated, "I hope that the companies that participated in this 'Movement Project' will use the various business management know-how acquired during the startup incubation process as nourishment and grow into companies that deliver positive influence to our society in the future," adding, "We will strive to continuously achieve the social value of public enterprises by promoting diverse social contribution programs."
